Lewis Cass Parents, Guardians, and Students,
Welcome to Lewis Cass Junior/Senior High School!

I would like to take a moment to introduce myself. I began my career teaching Social Studies at Lewis Cass in the fall of 1994. After that, I spent two years as the Assistant Principal at Frankfort Middle School before returning to Lewis Cass as Assistant Principal for several years. I am now beginning my fourth year as Principal of Lewis Cass Junior/Senior High School.
I am proud of the outstanding academic opportunities available to our students. Lewis Cass offers 18 career pathways, Dual Credit courses, Advanced College Project (ACP) courses through Indiana University Bloomington, Advanced Placement (AP) classes, and work-based learning opportunities that currently involve more than 20 seniors. We are committed to preparing every student for success, whether they choose college, the workforce, military service, or another path after graduation.
Our school also provides a wide variety of extracurricular opportunities. Students can participate in our state-recognized FFA program, a nationally respected marching band that has qualified for the Indiana State Finals for more than 30 consecutive years, athletics, clubs, and many other activities that help students grow both inside and outside the classroom.
I encourage you to partner with our staff as we work together to help your child achieve their academic and personal goals. Please don’t hesitate to stop by my office or contact me at 574-626-2511 or youngd@lewiscass.net if you have any questions or concerns.
By working together, we can make this a successful and rewarding school year for every student.
Sincerely,
Don Young
